The project included the construction of an underground parking lot of 350 places, the construction of a new wing which includes 2000 m2 of commercial installations and exterior stalls, the refitting of the winter hall and reorganization of the circulation paths in the market and around it. This imposing project in an environment like the Marché Jean-Talon was an important challenge. The project was to solve the problems of the juxtaposition of the market activities and the surrounding residential environment. The project was developed in close collaboration with the Corporation de gestion des marches publics de Montréal and l'Arrondissement Rosemont-Petite Patrie, considering the different needs and expectations of the merchants and close residents.
