Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital was designated by the Régie régionale de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal-Centre as a major out-patient care centre. Further to the work already undertaken by the Hospital, we elaborated a functional and technical program that defined the site and the characteristics of this 29 435 m2 centre where are integrated all the ambulatory activities of the surgical and medical clinics, ophthalmology, obstetrics & gynecology, medical imagery, day medicine, dialysis centre, cancer centre, one-day surgical suite along with reception and admission for the whole hospital.

The out-patient centre is the new entry to the hospital. The access is universal and the three floors are linked to the cruciform building while preserving its original fenestration. The use of yellow brick pursues the integration and cohesion of the new centre to the hospital complex. The building is contemporary and welcoming and reveals a sober yet dignified image.
